Addition
Garmann Miller provided design services to Marion Local to evaluate their needs for additional classrooms at the elementary school building. After a feasibility study was completed, it was determined that more educational space was needed for the growing district.
A 5,300 sf building addition was constructed on to the southwest corner of the existing elementary school building. This new building addition provided four kindergarten classrooms, an extended learning area (ELA) and individual restrooms within each classroom.
Existing playground equipment was relocated to make room for the classroom building addition and interior alterations of existing adjacent classrooms were also completed. This project was completed in November of 2021, and Marion Local Schools occupied the building in January of 2022.
