SCOPE
Renovation & New Construction

Garmann Miller completed a transformative renovation and expansion of the Miami Valley Career Technology Center, marking a historic milestone as the largest single-building project ever constructed by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, totaling 574,321 square feet.
This phased, occupied project added approximately 462,660 square feet to the West Building, including new classrooms, low-bay and high-bay instructional spaces. Despite the complexities of working on an active campus, construction was completed with minimal disruption, allowing MVCTC to continue serving students throughout the process.
The updated campus enhances MVCTC’s ability to offer innovative programs that align with evolving workforce demands. The modernized learning environments empower students with hands-on, real-world experiences that prepare them to meet the needs of today’s employers.

At Garmann Miller, we believe career technical education shapes both doers and dreamers — students who become makers, fixers, and solvers. Together with MVCTC’s forward-thinking leadership, this project ensures the school remains a top destination for exceptional academic and career-tech education.
In recognition of its sustainable design and construction practices, the MVCTC renovation and expansion project earned LEED Silver certification in 2025.
