Hannah, an NCIDQ, WELL AP certified interior designer and department leader, challenges her clients to go big and bold, to redefine what’s possible with color, space planning, materials and finishes. She earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Kent State University, where she was an NCAA Division I track and field athlete for the Golden Flashes. She most recently provided her creative style to Celina City Schools, Allen East Local Schools, Fairfield Community Schools, BCS Oak Harbor, Huron County Enrichment Center, Antwerp Innovation and Aquaponic Center, West Carrollton and Elida Elementary. Hannah volunteered her time on the 2021 Bulldog Levy Campaign, which promoted and passed a bond campaign to build new schools in her hometown of Celina, Ohio. She was inducted into the Celina High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020. After her experience of studying abroad, Hannah has a personal goal of learning to speak Italian for the next time she returns to Italy.
Michael is a designer with over 30 years of experience in architecture. Originally from Battle Creek, Michigan, we don’t hold it against him that his loyalties still lie with his alma mater, The University of Michigan. Michael resides in Piqua and enjoys golfing in his spare time.
Hannah serves as a leader on Garmann Miller’s specifications team and is also a designer and project manager within the architectural department. She believes in a design’s potential to engage and educate, and her style can be felt in many K-12 projects such as Bethel Local Schools’ new K-5 elementary building and Shelby City Schools’ new PK-8. She is a graduate of Miami University and earned the CSI Construction Documents Technologist certification in 2023. Outside of the office, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two daughters. A bucket list item of hers is to travel back to Florence, Italy, where she studied abroad during college. She aims to revisit the places she traveled and stayed as a student.
Who you gonna call? Jacob! He’s the gas that keeps the Garmann Miller engine running. As IT manager, he is on the forefront of technological tools, platforms, networks and processes. He even dabbles in writing code. He daily walks from station to station, department to department, providing software and hardware solutions for GM’s team members. He graduated with a bachelor’s in industrial technology from Ball State University and has worked professionally for 10 years. Jacob has a passion for the culinary arts, especially testing his mettle vs. a hot pepper’s Scoville scale.
Jamee brightens the office every day with her humor, love of family and passion for doing big things. Her creative drive and inventive mindset fueled Garmann Miller’s 2021 rebranding initiative that included a new corporate logo, color palette and typography. Her sleek designs of Garmann Miller’s 2019 Ohio School Boards Association exhibitor collateral earned the firm Marketing Excellence honors from Zweig Group and the Merit Award from SMPS. In 2021, Zweig Group named GM’s Corporate Identity campaign No. 1 in the nation in its Marketing Excellence Awards. GM’s marketing team also earned first place in the Promotional Campaign category of SMPS Heartland Regional Conference’s 2022 Pinnacle Awards, which featured Jamee’s design talents. In 2023, Jamee and her team earned four national awards, including the SMPS M Award of Excellence in the Trade Show Marketing category. She serves as our in-house photographer, is a licensed drone pilot, and assists our interior designers with wayfinding and other signage for K-12 clients. She resides in her hometown of Cassella, Ohio, and is a graduate of Sinclair Community College.
An 21-year veteran in the building-trade industry, Jason leads our construction administration team. His candor, humor and can-do approach on the job site makes him a valuable asset to the owner and contractor. His primary role is to ensure construction is taking place as designed, working with the contractor and owner with our designs so they can visualize the end product. He has a key role in the design phase reviews and bidding process, and there from the project’s beginning and beyond to make sure the building meets and exceeds expectations. Jason is the lead CA on the majority of our K-12 clients and also served on projects for Wood County and Allen County Boards of DD.
Jason is calm, cool and collected on the Miami Valley Career Technology Center job site. Serving as our CA on the state of Ohio’s largest construction investment by square footage, Jason ensures that what was designed is being properly built for nearly 600,000 square feet of new and renovated space. He also provides CA services for Bethel Local Schools’ new K-5 elementary building and football stadium project. Jason is a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a bachelor’s in construction management and has 18 years of experience in the AEC industry. In his spare time, he enjoys renovation projects on his family farm or doing any kind of work with his hands. His approach to life is to strive to enjoy and make the most of every single day.
John is a veteran registered architect who attended The Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art and Design. In addition to providing design solutions for several K-12 clients, John is active with many community projects, which have included work with City of Wapakoneta, Auglaize County Commissioners, St. Henry Catholic Church and Wood County Board of DD. A talented, award-winning artist and photographer, his works have appeared in many special exhibits and art shows. He is affiliated with ArtSpace/Lima, Riverside Art Center and Dayton Society of Artists.
Juliana is a valued member of the Garmann Miller team, serving the firm in a variety of administrative and business development efforts. She assists the BD team with compiling proposals and is the go-to in the office for past project information and GM history. Juliana enjoys all sports from high school to professional level. She enjoys visiting her alma mater to attend University of Dayton basketball games as a Flyers season ticket holder. She served a six-year term on the Distribution Committee for the Minster Community Fund, sings in the St. Augustine women’s and mixed choir and volunteers at Minster High School athletic events. Juliana loves to help people, serving on multiple committees supporting GM’s team and strategic initiatives.
With nearly 11 years of experience in the field of interior design, Kate is one of the interior designers in the Columbus office that helps owners get all the furniture, fabrics and finishes they want in their buildings. Kate has contributed to countless school projects including West Carrollton City Schools and Dublin City Schools. Kate, a graduate of Bowling Green State University, is a certified, award-winning Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer. A native of Cleveland and a die-hard Browns fan, she earned second place in the 2013 Irish Dance World Championships.
After graduating from Bowling Green State University with her bachelor’s degree in architecture, Katie completed her master’s work at Washington University. Katie is a registered architect with ten years of experience. She’s a dependable team member, most recently contributing to multiple projects for Tipp City Schools and Big Walnut Local Schools. She takes great pride in knowing the projects she supports will continue to serve communities for many years to come. Outside of her passion for architecture, she strives to learn American Sign Language and one day travel to see the Northern Lights.
As a registered landscape architect with over 15 years of experience in the field, Kellen contributes to projects across all our services, ranging from industrial to healthcare. He enjoys the evolution of projects from early conceptualization through to completion, working closely with clients along the way. He serves on committees such as the Minster Tree Commission along with internal Garmann Miller committees, the Game Changers and Social Network. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and watching sports, hoping to one day attend the Masters Tournament. Kellen has also had the opportunity to travel to over half of the states in the US and five European countries, intending to travel more in the future.
Kevin leads Garmann Miller’s electrical team, which collaborates with architecture and other disciplines on designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems. He passed his Certified Technology Specialist exam, a certification that qualifies him to create, operate and service AV solutions. Kevin’s project manager and design skillset have contributed to many K-12 learning environments that include projects at Allen East, Bethel, Chippewa, Findlay, Lincolnview and Madison Local. He holds an electrical engineering technology degree from Wright State University and is a Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) member.
Kristi is Garmann Miller’s director of client and employee experience (CX-EX). In this role, she manages the client feedback program to ensure a high level of service and quality is delivered with every project. She also oversees internal programs that keep team members fulfilled, engaged and challenged, which translates to better results with the experience we deliver to clients. In 2024, she earned her Client Experience Management Professional (CXMP) certification through Client Savvy.
Prior to her CX-EX position, Kristi was a member of GM’s Communication & Marketing department, where she helped the team win five national comm-marketing awards, including the SMPS M Award of Excellence in the Trade Show Marketing category in 2023 and the CX-cellence Award for her case study she submitted to earn her CXMP certification in 2024. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Bowling Green State University. Kristi is active with Garmann Miller’s internal Wellness and Social committees as well as our volunteer Game Changers group. Kristi roots for the Cincinnati Reds in baseball season and the Minnesota Vikings in the fall. She looks forward to traveling more in the future, marking off each state she visits on a map with her family.
Laura has held various roles with Garmann Miller and currently leads the project management team. She is certified by the American Society of Interior Designers, holds NCIDQ certification, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. As a project manager, she oversees several of GM’s K-12 partnerships, including the 600,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Miami Valley Career Technology Center. Laura lives in Wapakoneta with her family, where she and her husband volunteer at their local parish. She also serves as a 4-H advisor for Auglaize County and a Girl Scout leader. Laura has set a recent goal to learn the violin. She jokes that her current skill level is ideal for mimicking mosquito sounds, but she’s determined to improve!
Lee has over 15 years of experience in the field of mechanical/plumbing installation and design. He holds affiliations with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, National Fire Protection Association and American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Through his work, he enjoys working with owners and communities to develop buildings that improve workflow, comfort, quality and maintenance of a building. Some of those communities include Lima, Ohio, where he’s worked with Allen County Board of DD and Allen County ESC as well as Elida Local Schools on its classroom addition. Recently he’s provided mechanical solutions for Shelby City Schools, Findlay City Schools and West Carrollton City Schools. Lee is an active member at Church of the Most Holy Trinity and enjoys helping out on the family farm in Coldwater, Ohio. He is eager to learn more about other cultures through travel experiences, most recently venturing to Munich, Germany and Thiruvananthapuram, India.
Mandy is an accomplished architect and a visionary leader at Garmann Miller. She frequently serves as the lead architect for the firm’s K-12 clients, delivering innovative, sustainable, and intelligent design solutions for school districts. Notably, she oversaw all creative aspects of New Bremen Local School’s 71,000-square-foot elementary addition, which features the state-of-the-art, experiential Dianne Komminsk Center for Innovative Thinking. She holds an impressive array of credentials, including registrations with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the State of Ohio Architects Board, and certifications as a LEED AP in Building Design + Construction and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Outside of work, Mandy enjoys traveling, wakeboarding, surfing, hiking, and golf. She aspires to visit all of the U.S. National Parks in her lifetime.
Matt serves Garmann Miller in many capacities as director of architecture and as a principal on the firm’s board of directors. He is deeply involved in business development and was instrumental in establishing GM’s first Indiana-based office in 2020. Since then, the firm’s Indiana portfolio has continued to expand, driven by Matt’s strategic partnerships with Hoosier State firms Studio M Architecture & Planning and Hoch Associates. With nearly two decades of experience, Matt has contributed to numerous K-12 projects, including those for Fostoria City Schools, Liberty Center Local Schools, and Miami Valley Career Technology Center’s 600,000-square-foot addition and renovation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Ball State University and completed his master’s studies at Miami University. He enjoys supporting emerging professionals and working with younger designers to cultivate a deeper level of learning and understanding of the architectural profession.
A registered architect in Ohio and Indiana, Matt is affiliated with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Locally, he is an active member of the Minster Civic Association, where he and his family reside.
Matt is a professional mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience in mechanical and plumbing design. As the leader of GM’s engineering team, he brings strong leadership and expertise to every project. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he is affiliated with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Outside the office, Matt stays busy coaching his three daughters’ sports teams. When he can, he likes to golf and would one day like to travel to Hawaii. He and his family live in St. Henry.
Michelle, an Excel guru and CPA, keeps the team on track with budgets and billings. A graduate of Miami University, she brings over 15 years of accounting experience to her role. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys gardening and traveling. She lives in Minster, Ohio, with her family and dreams of visiting all the National Parks. She also aspires to learn to play the guitar.
Monica is a Miami University graduate with over 25 years of experience in planning and construction. With 15 years of experience in K-12 planning with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, Monica is an asset to school districts. Based remotely in Cleveland, Ohio she travels statewide to assist clients with master planning and community engagement services. As a LEED Green Associate and Certified Professional Services Marketer through the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), she combines industry knowledge with a commitment to sustainable practices.
Monica serves on the Board of Directors for the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor Program of Cleveland and has been an active contributor in varying capacities since its inception. As the sponsorship chair, she has played a key role in awarding $1.6 million to over 190 students during the organization’s 15-year history.
With over 30 years of experience in the AEC industry, Randy now manages our BIM department. His leadership has helped streamline internal processes and bring animated renderings to our clients. This University of Toledo graduate enjoys watching a good movie with his wife and kids.
As a New Bremen resident, it was quite the accomplishment in his career for Rob to oversee the New Bremen LSD new K-8 building and high school renovation as the construction administrator. With 17 years of experience in the AEC industry, Rob has played an important role ensuring Garmann Miller’s designs are executed during the construction process. Rob graduated from The Ohio State University. He enjoys spending time with his family and lending a hand on the family farm.
Ryan is an architectural designer and a graduate of Ball State University, where he earned both his Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees. Before joining the firm, he interned at Garmann Miller, and now applies his education and experience to mentor interns at the Minster, Ohio office. Ryan, along with his wife and son, resides in Fort Recovery, where he dedicates much of his spare time to volunteering for local organizations, including the Fort Recovery Community Club, Knights of Columbus, and the Fort Recovery Athletic Boosters. A fun fact about Ryan: he and his wife are exactly four years and one week apart in age—just like his parents!
If there is brisket or fresh veggies in the office, Shira is usually the one to thank as she won’t let anyone go hungry. As a Landscape Architect, Shira is on a project from start to finish ensuring coordination between civil consultants and making sure the site layout, traffic control, etc. are top notch for our clients. Her 35 years of experience in landscape architecture have made a difference for many sites including Southwest Local School District. She is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and works out of our Columbus office.
Not only is Steve a registered architect with 24 years of experience, but he’s also a BIM specialist. His vast knowledge of 3D software continues to drive Garmann Miller’s designs to the next level. Steve plays a leading role on GM’s specifications team and achieved the CSI Construction Documents Technologist certification in 2023. He also earned a master’s degree in architecture from Miami University. With a passion for finding smart, cost-effective solutions to design challenges, Steve is always looking for ways to enhance projects. Beyond his professional expertise, he dreams of traveling to Europe to experience classical and medieval architecture firsthand. He also hopes to learn to play the guitar someday. While his career accomplishments are impressive, Steve’s most prized achievements are his children, Nate and Leah.
With 28 years of experience in the field of architecture, Ted leads our Columbus team along with juggling multiple projects as a project manager for the firm. Seems only fitting that one of his talents is that of juggling. Ted’s experience has been vast since beginning his studies in Rome before graduating from the University of Notre Dame. He’s a registered architect in not only Ohio, but Pennsylvania as well. Ted resides in Columbus with his wife and kids.
Tod is a valuable asset to Garmann Miller’s business development team, bringing a wealth of experience from his career in teaching and academic administration. His tenure in K-12 education included roles as assistant high school principal and athletic director at Bryan City Schools, high school principal at Edgerton Local Schools, and superintendent at Ayersville and Liberty Center Local Schools. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Toledo and completed his Doctor of Education at the University of Findlay. In addition to his role at Garmann Miller, Tod currently serves as executive director of the Northern Buckeye Education Council and Northwest Ohio Computer Association.
Having led 15 district levy campaigns and contributed to numerous construction projects, Tod understands the complexities involved in school facility planning. The most rewarding part of his role at Garmann Miller is the opportunity to assist district leaders in navigating the many facets of school construction projects—from Board of Education and community engagement to overseeing the construction process from a superintendent’s perspective.
Outside of work, Tod enjoys shooting sports, including trap, sporting clays, and 5-stand. Once retired, he hopes to travel across the country and participate in each state’s ATA Trap tournament.
Kathy is a member of our Executive Director team. As a licensed landscape architect with over 30 years of experience in the field, her roles include both lead design and project management for projects of various sizes. She is involved in projects from early master planning through to project completion. As a graduate of The Ohio State University, she is supportive of emerging professionals, mentoring students and young staff, and inspiring others through public speaking events. Residing in New Bremen, she loves taking on a home renovation in her spare time, as well as serving as a community volunteer. A fun fact about Kathy: She spent a year living in the “Shoe at OSU,” the school’s fondly named stadium, as there used to be a student dormitory under the bleachers.
Doug directs Garmann Miller’s communication and marketing efforts, which include public relations, advertising, event management, content development and digital media. He also leads GM’s community engagement efforts for clients needing marketing assistance in achieving winning results at the polls. Doug completed his bachelor’s at Wright State University and earned his master’s degree in communication from Auburn University. His writing has been published in national magazines, academic journals and trade publications. In 2020, Garmann Miller earned the Merit Award for Event Marketing from SMPS and Marketing Excellence honors from Zweig Group. In 2021, Zweig Group named GM’s Corporate Identity campaign No. 1 in the U.S. in its Marketing Excellence Awards. GM’s marketing team also earned first place in the Promotional Campaign category of SMPS Heartland Regional Conference’s 2022 Pinnacle Awards. Doug is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and recently finished a three-year term on the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He holds the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification through SMPS. Doug has trekked across the globe as a travel writer, visiting many exciting places in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Ben wears many hats at Garmann Miller. As the son of our founder, Bruce Miller, Ben provided oversight to GM’s electrical design team for seven years before transitioning in 2020 to head our business development efforts. He also serves the firm as a principal on the board of directors. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Wright State University. In addition to his work with GM, he has served on the St. Henry Schools Board for the past several years, gaining invaluable insights into the evolving challenges facing schools, including navigating legislative changes and fostering strong community relationships. His commitment to serving stems from a deep desire to create the best possible educational experience for children who attend the district. He and his wife, Jenni, have four children, and he enjoys golf, boating, gardening and running St. Henry’s annual car show. An impressive fact: Ben has donated blood to the Red Cross every eight weeks since he was 18.
Andrew serves the firm as an associate principal. As a professional mechanical engineer and certified energy manager, he plays a key role in master facilities planning and design for our K-12 clients in Indiana and Ohio, while also serving as an executive director. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton and holds affiliations with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers; Association of Energy Engineers; and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Beyond the office, Andrew gives back to his hometown community of St. Henry, Ohio, by volunteering with local youth soccer and softball programs.
Ashley is a member of the electrical design team and is a proud West Virginia University Mountaineer with a degree in electrical engineering. She is currently working towards her Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam to attain professional licensure. When she’s not designing electrical systems for clients such as Grand Lake Health, Miami County (Ohio) and West Carrollton City Schools, you can find her spending time with her dogs, fishing, baking and gardening.
Becky, an Indiana University graduate with nearly two decades of experience, serves as an executive director and our lead educational visioning facilitator. She is LEED certified with a specialty in interior design and construction and holds certification with the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. In 2023, she earned the Accredited Learning Environment Planner certification through the Association for Learning Environments. As a part of our planning teams, Becky loves to engage with school district leaders, educators and students early on in the process so our team can translate their ideas into a facility design that best serves their hopes, needs and dreams. A track state champion at Minster High School, Becky serves as a track coach for her alma mater and leads Garmann Miller’s Game Changers volunteer philanthropic committee.
A former college football player and first baseman in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Brian found his calling as a project manager with Garmann Miller in his hometown of Minster. He holds a bachelor’s in architecture from Miami University. Now in his 25th year with the firm, he serves the firm as a principal on the board of directors who oversees many projects in the firm’s K-12 education market. Brian also is active in GM’s planning and pre-bond efforts for our K-12 partners. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and is active in his community, staying busy with his wife and three children. He would someday like to travel around Europe with his family.
Chad is an electrical engineer with nine years of experience in the field after graduating from Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Clients he has recently served include Allen County Board of DD, Mercer County Engineer and the Village of Fort Recovery from the municipal side and many K-12 districts throughout Ohio, such as Shelby City Schools and West Carrollton City Schools. His goals outside of his honing his craft are to visit Italy and to go skydiving. He is also an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Chris is a principal at Garmann Miller and is actively involved with every project scope and schedule as the firm’s chief operating officer. He is a professional mechanical engineer with 28 years of experience designing systems to keep facilities warm, safe and dry. He is registered in Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina and Tennessee and holds memberships in the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers; American Society of Plumbing Engineers; National Society of Professional Engineers; and National Fire Protection Association. A graduate of Wright State University, Chris resides in his hometown of Botkins, Ohio, where he serves on the school and park boards. A future goal of Chris’s is to travel to Europe and Alaska.
Cindy is a designer at Garmann Miller, where she implements modern design techniques into a variety of educational, municipal and healthcare environments. She played a significant role in designing Fostoria City Schools’ new 7-12 building and PK-6 renovation. She also was on the Southwest Licking Watkins Intermediate School team and is working with Fort Wayne Community Schools, a partner for us in Indiana. A native of St. Henry, she recently relocated to Celina, Ohio, where she enjoys teeing it up at Celina Lynx and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Curt contributes to making projects a success through his position as a licensed architect and his responsibilities as a project manager. An Ohio State grad and veteran architect of 39 years, Curt’s creative talents focus mainly on our K-12 education clients. He has provided design and leadership to each of GM’s Southwest Licking Local Schools, Marion Local Schools, as well as Lucas Local Schools and West Carrollton City Schools, where he served as project manager on the Pirates’ new PK-1 and 5-6 buildings. If Curt could visit anywhere in the world, he’d kick back with some fish and chips in South Yorkshire, England.
Dylan is a mechanical designer who brings both skill and passion to his projects. Since graduating from Wright State University with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, he’s gained eight years of experience in the field of systems design before joining Garmann Miller. As an ambitious member of the team, he looks forward to taking the steps to obtaining his professional engineering license in the future. Dylan is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) as well as the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). Some of his assignments include Eaton Corporation’s corporate renovation and system work for Madison Local and Marion Local Schools.
Elaine is a controller and director of human resources for Garmann Miller. As a graduate of Wright State University, she holds a bachelor of science degree in human resources and resides in New Bremen, Ohio. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and has earned her SHRM-CP certification, demonstrating her in-depth knowledge of HR policies and strategies. Elaine oversees the firm’s benefits programs and offers a wide range of support to the team. She has a passion for serving the team with her knowledge of the firm’s benefits and wellness opportunities to ensure they are aware of all the tools and resources offered. Outside of the office, she enjoys pickleball and golf.
Eric was named CEO in 2017 after serving as the electrical engineering team lead when he came to Garmann Miller in 2001. His leadership has advanced the firm to expand to four locations across Ohio and Indiana with a team of over 80 professionals. GM has earned Best Firms to Work For five consecutive years from industry research leader Zweig Group. In 2020, Zweig Group also named GM its No. 1 full-service firm in the U.S., and in 2023, presented GM’s Communication & Marketing team with three first-place campaigns in its Marketing Excellence Awards. Under his guidance, Garmann Miller has risen to a Building Design + Construction magazine and Engineering News Record national top 100 firm. He fosters a culture of service and quality set by GM’s founders with a commitment to sustainable design. Recently, the U.S. Green Building Council ranked GM No. 13 in the world for firms that have been Leadership & Environmental Design (LEED) project administrators for K-12 schools. A graduate of the University of Toledo, he maintains his Professional Engineer credentials.
Eric is an active volunteer and brought his vision for giving back to Garmann Miller by implementing its Game Changers volunteer committee. This philanthropic group donates time, talent and treasure to various organizations that enhance lives in the communities GM serves. Outside of the office, he is an avid explorer and has been fortunate to visit many of the national parks in the U.S. and Canada. He also devotes his time to studying history through literature, documentaries, and travel.
Eric graduated from Ohio State with his bachelor’s degree in architecture and completed his master’s work at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He is a licensed architect with 15 years of experience, Eric often designs innovative learning environments for Garmann Miller’s K-12 clients, including projects such as West Carrollton’s new PK-1 and 5-6 buildings and Manchester Community Schools addition/renovation. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his wife and three daughters, photography and woodworking.
Technology is constantly changing, and Greg’s passion is keeping up with the latest trends in facility design. He collaborates with our architects and engineers to develop smart technology infrastructures that enhance security, productivity and efficiency, from wireless networks and computer systems to multi-media and cabling. Greg, a BICSI Certified Technician and OLAN Planning & Design Associate, has 22 years of experience in the field of technology integration. He has a long list of community, municipal, healthcare and educational clients he has served at Garmann Miller. Outside of his work in the technology field, Greg has a love for classic cars.
Chris joined the Garmann Miller electrical design team in 2021. He has eight years of experience in the field after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. He has been a part of multiple K-12 projects with the firm for clients such as Celina City Schools, Fort Wayne Community Schools and the Fairborn City School District. Chris lists New Zealand as the destination he most wants to visit, and bungee jumping is high on his bucket list of to-do adventures.
Taylor is an architectural designer and co-director of operations at our Fort Wayne location, situated in the dynamic Electric Works district. She earned her master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, building on her strong foundation from The Ohio State University. Passionate and ambitious, she is currently working toward licensure to become a registered architect, continuously striving to enhance her skills and expertise.
Taylor’s drive and determination are evident in both her work and personal life, where she is committed to delivering innovative, high-quality designs that exceed client expectations. A dedicated sports enthusiast, she brings the same competitive spirit to the court as she does to her projects. When she’s not cheering on the Buckeyes, she’s likely playing or coaching club volleyball. Taylor resides in Fort Wayne with her husband and two children, embracing both her career and family life with energy and dedication.
Rick holds Professional Engineer credentials in Ohio and Kentucky. The Tipp City resident comes to GM after working in a variety of capacities in the construction industry that included project manager, sales engineer and HVAC designer roles. He completed a mission trip to Louisiana during which he help local residents rebuild their communities after the storm. Rick has a B.S. in Engineering, Systems Engineering – Mechanical option from Wright State University. He works out of our Minster location.
Rebecca is Garmann Miller’s Director of Talent Engagement, leading recruitment for all positions at within the firm, from full-time roles to internships. She collaborates with the CEO on hiring strategies, builds relationships with college career offices, and oversees STEM engagement initiatives, career fairs, and the internship program. She manages the recruitment process, partners with the Communication & Marketing team on branding and outreach, attends industry events and conducts exit interviews with the Director of CX/EX. Reporting directly to the CEO, she plays a key role in attracting top talent.
Residing in St. Mary’s, Ohio, Rebecca enjoys time with her three boys. A graduate of Rhodes State College, she was named Outstanding Student for the 2023 Human Resource Program. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, serves as co-programming director for the Lima SHRM Chapter, and mentors local students through MAV Youth Mentoring. She is also an active volunteer at Celina First Church of God and a member of GM’s wellness and social network committee.
Jacob graduated with his master’s degree in architecture from Bowling Green State University in May 2022. He earned bachelor’s degrees in construction management and architecture from BGSU in 2020. A Botkins, Ohio, native, he has held internships at professional firms, where he helped design educational and commercial facilities and compiled construction documents. He also has experience with creating virtual reality videos and renderings to present design concepts. He was a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students while at BGSU and was the recipient of a design award for the 2016 fall-semester CREATE competition. In his spare time, he enjoys landscaping and woodworking. Whenever he has the chance, he is outdoors year-round, enjoying snow and water sports.
Andrea graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of landscape architecture from The Ohio State University in May 2022 and is a native of Strongsville, Ohio. Based out of GM’s Columbus, Ohio, office, she serves on the site design team. She enjoys supporting clients through site design, master planning, and attending community meetings, working to develop a well-integrated plan. As an active participant on GM’s team experience committees, she fulfills her passion for serving others, enhancing their wellness and education opportunities. When she’s not creating dynamic site plans, Andrea enjoys exploring nature, trying new gluten-free recipes and testing any new hobbies related to the arts.
Luke is a seasoned construction foreman with over 17 years of experience leading projects. As a construction administrator at Garmann Miller, he oversees on-site construction, facilitates coordination between contractors and the design team, monitors project progress, and reviews shop drawings. Through supervision of total on-site efforts, he ensures that each project is built to meet design specifications, budget, schedule, safety standards, and quality expectations. Luke lives in Celina, Ohio, with his family and dreams of visiting Alaska one day.
Clinton came to GM in 2022 after serving 11 years in the public school sector as a teacher, assistant principal and technology coordinator. He performs various duties at GM that include coordinating master planning and educational visioning sessions for K-12 schools, assisting business development efforts and developing technological solutions. As a teacher, he instructed a wide breadth of students from collegiate-level learners in advanced placement chemistry to variously leveled students with disabilities. His knowledge and experience add value to our K-12 clients in establishing goals for curriculum development within the spaces we design. Clinton holds a bachelor’s degree from Capital University and earned his master’s degree in education from Miami University. He and his family reside in New Knoxville, Ohio. Outside of the office, Clinton is musically inclined with talents in singing, piano, guitar, saxophone and tuba. He hopes to one day learn to play the drums.
Based in Millerstown, Pa., Adam is Garmann Miller’s first full-time remote designer. He has held various mechanical and plumbing system design positions over his 27-year career and will continue those responsibilities at GM. Throughout his career, Adam has led the implementation of Revit software utilization for all MEP engineering projects and also established company standards, templates and workflow guidelines. His duties also have included designing of duct and piping systems, plumbing systems, load calculations, equipment selections, psychrometric charts, project specifications, HVAC control sequence of operation, building modeling and attending site surveys. His extensive experience with Building Information Modeling and school design is a valuable resource for GM clients. Adam holds an associate degree in computer aided drafting and design from York Technical Institute in York, Pa.
Becky is a versatile professional at GM with a proven track record of success as an urban planner, architectural designer, and interior designer. She enjoys working on a project from the initial site design, through the architectural and interior design process and following it through construction. Becky has presented to zoning commissions and boards; and worked to obtain necessary zoning approvals while gaining support of the community. She also has authored zoning codes and designed site plans throughout her career. Her background in senior living has been helpful with the We Care Crisis Center project in Lima, Ohio which is currently under construction. She also has been applying her skills in various education projects for Fairbanks Schools, Chippewa Schools, and South Central Schools in Ohio.
Becky earned a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Cincinnati and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in architecture from Lawerence Technological University. She enjoys staying active through fitness, dancing, and hiking. She resides in Columbus with her family and works out of Garmann Miller’s Columbus office.
Danielle joined the Garmann Miller team full-time in 2023 after completing a multi-year internship with the firm. She majored in architectural engineering at the University of Cincinnati, where she was a club member of the Architectural Engineering Institute. She is a LEED Green Associate and recently passed her FE exam, taking steps to become a licensed professional engineer. Her projects at GM have included the Fairbanks Elementary School addition, the Southwest Licking Local Schools concessions building, Kenton’s new middle-high school, and the addition/renovation at Versailles Exempted Village School District. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the lake, reading, and coaching volleyball.
Zane joined the Garmann Miller team full time in 2023 after completing a multi-year internship with the firm. He earned his undergraduate from Bowling Green State University (2021) and master’s degree (2023) in architecture from Ball State University, where he earned the Choose Ohio First Technology Works Scholarship. He has assisted on several of GM’s educational jobs, and his first full project was for FGKS Law, where he did the architectural portion of the interior renovation. In his spare time, Zane enjoys golfing, playing frisbee golf and traveling. He experienced a bucket-list trip in 2023 when he spent two weeks exploring Italy and Greece. Zane has started preparing for his architecture licensure exams.
Lindsay is a licensed architect passionate about collaborating with clients to create tailored design solutions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in architecture from Bowling Green State University. While at BGSU, she received the 2023 Association of Licensed Architects Student Merit Award and was an active member of the American Institute of Architecture Students at UC. In her role, Lindsay specializes in fabricating Revit models, developing preliminary designs, producing drawing sets, completing LEED documentation, and presenting concepts to clients. Beyond architecture, she aspires to travel to every continent in the future.
Garrick joined the Garmann Miller team in 2023 after working as a bricklayer for various construction companies. Currently the construction administrator for Southwest Licking Local Schools and other central Ohio GM projects, Garrick is a valuable asset on the job site. His primary role is to ensure construction is taking place as designed, working with the contractor and owner with our designs so they can visualize the end product. He’s a part of the design phase review and the bidding process and stays with project after completion to make sure the building meets and exceeds expectations. Originally from Attica, Ohio, Garrick got married in 2023 and recently earned first place honors at the Region C-MCAA Third-year Apprentice Skills Challenge.
Jamie joined Garmann Miller’s interior design team in 2023. Throughout her career, she has completed design projects from conception to installation, working in project management, space planning, finish selection, budget parameters and product selection. She’s led discovery sessions with end-users to understand and design efficient workspaces. She is a furniture selection specialist and collaborates with clients and account executives to provide product suggestions and designs that meet the requirements of the project. She has a passion for meeting with clients to make their spaces functional and aesthetically pleasing. Based in our Columbus office, she is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design. In addition to her work with GM, Jamie is a part-time preschool teacher, which strengthens her bond with the firm’s clients and school-focused projects.
Anna serves the Garmann Miller team as a mechanical designer in the Minster office. In her role, she helps define, plan and kick off the mechanical systems side of projects while managing scheduling and budgetary items. Anna earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wright State University and completed her master of engineering management from Ohio University. She is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). Her proficiency in multiple systems brings a diverse skill set to our mechanical team.
When she’s not designing mechanical systems, Anna enjoys camping with her husband and three kids, as well as reading romance and historically based novels. She also hopes to one day return to playing piano, a passion from her childhood, and become proficient in it.
Hayden Pottkotter relocated to the Auglaize-Mercer county region of Ohio after spending five years in Colorado Springs working as an electrical designer. He discovered his passion for electrical systems in his high school CTE class while at Tri Star Career Compact in Celina. He earned his associate of applied science degree in electronic engineering technology from Rhodes State College and his bachelor’s degree in electro-mechanical engineering technology from Miami University. He is an active learner and a skilled problem solver, proficient in Revit and skilled in AutoCAD, SKM Power Suite and a range of electrical systems. He is currently working towards his PE licensure credentials to continue on his professional path. When not collaborating with design teams, he enjoys golfing and experimenting with healthier versions of classic recipes in the kitchen. Hayden looks forward to one day traveling to Ireland with his wife.
Tim recently joined the Garmann Miller team after a career in K-12 education. He worked in public education for 39 years, during which he taught high school social studies and coached cross country, wrestling and track. After leaving the classroom, Tim served as a high school assistant principal, a middle school principal and finally, the superintendent of Shelby City Schools for 12 years. During that time, he oversaw the construction of a new high school, a new PK-8 facility, as well as a new athletic complex that included a new football/soccer/track facility, a new baseball field, a new softball field and new tennis courts. Tim resides in Shelby, Ohio, with his wife. They enjoy going to high school sporting events, hosting family gatherings and traveling.
Cody is a member of the technology design team. He is a passionate IT technician and programmer with experience in software development using Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Python and Flutter. At GM, he helps teammates be more efficient by maintaining and improving internet and wireless networks, troubleshooting technical issues and performing entire network migrations at multiple locations. He is also tasked with training and providing user tutorials. Cody holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Ball State University, where he was a Presidential Scholar and graduated cum laude. Cody is an active learner, currently pursuing his CTS certification, and will be working towards RCDD certification in the future. He is based in the Minster, Ohio, office and lives in Coldwater with his wife and two dogs.
Drew joined the Garmann Miller team after graduating from Taylor University with a mechanical engineering degree. During his time at the university, he was a two-time captain of the football team. He is a part of the firm’s mechanical design team and a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) as well as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). As the son of an administrator with Van Wert City Schools, he enjoys working on projects that support and enhance school systems. In his spare time, Drew enjoys playing basketball, golfing and hiking. He resides in Van Wert, Ohio.
Derek is a former Garmann Miller intern success story, having spent time with our designers during his 2016 and 2017 seasonal breaks while attending The Ohio State University. He serves as the co-director of Fort Wayne operations in managing the northeast Indiana efforts from our downtown Electric Works office. A graduate of the OSU Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture, Derek graduated cum laude and earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture with honors and minored in landscape architecture. He attended the Sam Fox School of Design at Washington University in St. Louis and earned his master’s degree in architecture in 2020. His responsibilities have ranged throughout all phases of construction, from preliminary site capacity studies and massing/programming to zoning packages. He has also supported construction document production, modeling, project coordination and construction administration. A fun fact about Derek is that he did a western Europe independent study, during which he visited the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany and other countries during a six-week study abroad program.
Morgan joined Garmann Miller as a project designer/modeler in May 2024 after graduating from The Ohio State University with a degree in architecture. During her academic career, she was an active member of SERVitecture, serving as the service coordinator where she organized community service events within the Knowlton School. She also participated in the European Architectural Studies Study Abroad program, traveling to Germany, France, The Netherlands and Belgium to explore historic architecture. Morgan began her journey with GM as an intern from December 2023 to May 2024 and currently works out of our Columbus office. With a passion for historic architecture, Morgan dreams of traveling soon to Greece and Rome to further her architectural explorations.
Katelyn Vagedes joined Garmann Miller as a project designer/modeler in May 2024 after graduating summa cum laude from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. During her time at Ball State, Katelyn was an active member of Tau Sigma Delta, an academic fraternity, and participated in the 2023 Solar Decathlon. Her journey with GM began as a full-time intern during the summer of 2023, and she continued as a part-time intern throughout the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024. Katelyn is dedicated to furthering her professional career and is actively working towards earning her architectural licensure. She is currently working out of the Minster, Ohio, office.
Mary brings creativity and expertise to Garmann Miller’s interior design team, having first joined as an intern before officially coming on board. She attended Bowling Green State University, during which time she was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Mary develops and optimizes interior layouts to ensure efficient use of space, functionality and aesthetic appeal. This includes creating floor plans, furniture arrangements and specifying interior elements that enhance the usability and flow of spaces. She also collaborates closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences and budget constraints. A native of Maria Stein, Ohio, she is based in GM’s Minster office. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Isaac joined GM as a mechanical designer in May 2024 after graduating from Purdue University Fort Wayne with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He was a Chapman Scholar, a two-time Top 50 award recipient, and served as president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He also mentored first-year engineering students. Isaac was an intern at GM for a year before his graduation and currently works out of the Columbus, Ohio, office. He is an active member of ASME, ASPE, and ASHRAE. He is working toward his PE license, expected in 2028.
Outside of the office, he loves fishing and even completed research on fish in greenhouses as a part of his undergraduate studies. A unique bucket list item for Isaac is to one day play the bagpipes. He resides in Columbus with his wife and the office dog, Sherman.
Adeline joined the Garmann Miller team in May 2024 after completing her undergraduate education at Ball State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and a minor in urban planning. She is based out of GM’s Fort Wayne, Indiana, office in the Electric Works district. In her role, Adeline works closely with architects, engineers, urban planners and other stakeholders to ensure the landscape design complements the architectural and infrastructural elements of the project. She conducts thorough site assessments to understand the environmental, geographical and regulatory aspects of a site and develops conceptual designs that integrate the built environment with the natural landscape. Outside of the office, you’ll likely find her thrifting or antique shopping.
Emily’s career started with the Garmann Miller team as an intern. After graduating from Miami University with a bachelor’s in architecture, she worked as a designer/modeler. Emily’s role has evolved into a 3D Visualization/BIM Specialist where she can showcase her passion with cutting-edge technology. She resides in Versailles, Ohio.
Courtney Onnen is an interior designer and is based in Garmann Miller’s Fort Wayne, Ind., office in the vibrant Electric Works district. A graduate of Kansas State University with a master’s degree in interior architecture and product design, Courtney brings experience in space planning, 3D modeling, and adaptive reuse across various projects. Passionate about design, she contributes her skills to create innovative and functional spaces for Garmann Miller’s clients. Before relocating to Indiana, she held positions in Lincoln, Neb., and Sioux Falls, S.D. Courtney loves to travel and gain inspiration from other parts of the world.
Caleb is a technology professional based in our Minster, Ohio, office, leading software development and AI initiatives. With a proven track record of maintaining secure industrial networks and implementing efficient IT systems, he combines technical expertise with leadership to deliver innovative solutions. Caleb holds a M.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and a B.S. in Information Technology from Western Governors University. Passionate about enhancing operational efficiency, he is proficient in automation, system migrations, and compliance standards like NIST 800. His forward-thinking approach ensures technology aligns seamlessly with business objectives. When he’s not busy supporting the team, he enjoys travel, exploring England, France, and India most recently, with a wish to visit Switzerland in the future.
Jenn joined GM as our communication and marketing manager in early 2025. Based in our Fort Wayne office, she brings a wealth of experience in digital marketing strategy, social media content creation, graphic design, and event planning. In addition to overseeing GM’s communications efforts, Jenn contributes to our award-winning marketing team through trade show and business development initiatives. Her background includes professional services marketing in the AEC world, as well as the education industry, where she demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in digital and print media. She also brings valuable community engagement experience through her board and committee service with Fort Wayne Trails and Healthier Moms & Babies.
When you reach out to Garmann Miller, you’ll receive a warm greeting from Jill. She came to our team as administrative project coordinator in early 2025. Based in our Minster, Ohio, office, Jill plays a vital role in assisting project managers during the construction phase, coordinating various aspects of project administration. Her organizational skills and attention to detail enhance the efficiency of our project teams and contribute to successful project delivery. She has a strong background in administrative support with experience in managing payroll and expense reports, preparing presentations and maintaining organized workflows. Jill and her family reside in St. Marys, Ohio.
Amanda supports the team with a wealth of knowledge in interior design and project management. With a bachelor’s degree in design from The Ohio State University and National Council for Interior Design Qualification certification, Amanda’s career spans diverse sectors, including healthcare, corporate, and educational design. Her experience includes creating innovative space plans, managing material selections and producing comprehensive construction drawings in coordination with multiple disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met. Amanda’s dedication to designing functional and inspiring environments is matched by her focus on compliance, quality, and client satisfaction. Based in our Minster, Ohio, office, she recently returned to her hometown of St. Marys, Ohio, with her family after residing for a few years in San Jose, California. During her lifetime, Amanda has experienced the diverse cultures and landscapes of three different continents, each leaving a unique mark on her journey.
Jacob is a skilled mechanical designer specializing in building systems for projects nationwide, from residential developments to large-scale commercial spaces. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architectural Engineering, he brings a well-rounded expertise to every project. With a keen eye for detail and strong project management skills, Jacob seamlessly oversees timelines, budgets, estimates, and workloads while maintaining clear and effective client communication. His proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting further enhances his ability to bring innovative designs to life. Beyond his engineering work, Jacob dreams of exploring Europe, with Italy and Ireland at the top of his list.
As a construction administrator based in our Fort Wayne office, Tim plays a vital role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. With a strong foundation in the construction industry, Tim brings decades of hands-on experience, including ownership of a successful concrete business and leadership positions in contractor management. His deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and project coordination allows him to ensure that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Beyond his professional expertise, Tim is dedicated to making a positive impact in his community. He has served on the East Allen Community Schools Board of School Trustees for the past ten years, contributing to the development of educational initiatives and facility improvements. Additionally, he has been an active member of the Allen County Redevelopment Commission Board for the last five years, helping to drive economic growth and infrastructure development in the region. In his spare time, he enjoys watching sports, boating, and golfing.
As a member of the Garmann Miller construction administration team, Tyler plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while upholding the highest standards of quality. Based in the Minster office, he works closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to oversee construction progress, address challenges, and maintain clear communication throughout each phase of the process. With a background in the construction trades, Tyler brings valuable hands-on experience to his role, allowing him to approach projects with a practical understanding of materials, techniques, and industry best practices. He strives to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with client expectations.
Tyler resides in Celina with his wife and their three children. Outside of the office, he is involved in his children’s activities, dedicating time to coaching their various sports teams. He enjoys connecting with the great outdoors through hunting and fishing.
Ben is an architectural designer with a background in public and educational design. He began his journey in the Architectural Design Program at Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design from Bowling Green State University. His professional expertise includes Revit modeling, construction documentation, and creating spaces that serve communities. He is passionate about designing buildings that make a positive impact.
Outside of work, Ben values time with his family—his wife, daughter, and their cat. He enjoys outdoor recreation, especially hiking and exploring national and state parks with his wife. Each spring, he also takes to the field as part of his church’s softball league.
Courtney Dittman earned her bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from The Ohio State University, where she focused on environmentally sustainable design through both her studies and internship. She’s passionate about creating spaces that are beautiful, functional, and beneficial to the environment.
Courtney enjoys blending creativity with purpose, designing thoughtful, people-centered environments. Outside of work, she’s often caring for her pets or tending to her many plants. One day, she hopes to retire and run a reptile rescue—combining her love of animals with her commitment to making a difference.
Kathryn Bush is an administrative project coordinator at the firm’s Fort Wayne office. She has a strong background in administrative support across the banking and industrial sectors. Originally from La Porte, Indiana, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, where she now lives with her husband and two young daughters.
Kathryn thrives in behind-the-scenes roles, ensuring that the team operates smoothly and efficiently. She takes great pride in knowing her work supports the broader success of the organization.
Outside of work, Kathryn finds joy and renewal in the outdoors or enjoying Midwestern pastimes like board games and card nights. A lifelong Indianapolis Colts supporter and former volleyball and tennis player, she also enjoys catching a good game when she gets the chance.
Based in Garmann Miller’s Fort Wayne office, Emily Hower is a licensed architect with nearly a decade of project management experience. She plays a key role on both the design and business development teams, contributing her deep knowledge of K–12 learning environments and a passion for student-centered design.
Emily has led educational projects across Indiana with a strong focus on collaboration, sustainable practices, and creating spaces that support both learning and community. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in historic preservation from Ball State University, as well as an Associate degree in general studies from IPFW.
Emily thrives on the variety that each day in architecture brings and finds fulfillment in helping others solve complex challenges through design. Outside of work, she enjoys caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants.
Nathan is a technology designer based in Garmann Miller’s Fort Wayne office. He develops information and communication systems for clients across multiple locations and also provides technology support. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in computer information systems from Ball State University.
Before joining GM, Nathan specialized in software development. He enjoys how technology and design are always evolving, offering new opportunities to learn and grow.

Allison Schmitmeyer is a civil engineer and surveyor based in our Celina office, where she contributes to a wide range of projects, including site design, subdivision planning, roadway reconstructions, and waterline improvements. In addition to design work, she prepares boundary surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and other key survey documents.
A 2023 graduate of the University of Toledo, Allison earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minor in surveying, graduating summa cum laude. She was named one of four “Senior Scholars” in her class and was also recognized as a Presidential Scholar throughout her college career. Allison has passed her FE, PE, and FS exams and is working toward dual licensure as a professional engineer and professional surveyor.
She values the variety her profession offers, as no two projects are alike, and she takes pride in knowing her work has a positive impact on communities.
Outside the office, Allison enjoys time with her husband and daughter, walking, reading, and playing piano. She also helps run the timing systems for Coldwater cross country and track meets alongside her mom—a tradition she’s been part of since middle school.
Brian May is a project manager based in our Celina office, with experience spanning everything from large-scale street, water, and sewer improvements to smaller projects for private clients. Licensed as a professional engineer in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana, Brian provides practical, efficient solutions that balance client goals with community resources.

Brice Schmitmeyer serves as director of civil & survey and is based in our Celina office, providing day-to-day leadership for the civil engineering group. Since beginning his career in 1996, he has combined technical expertise with a strong focus on project funding, helping communities secure resources to move vital improvements forward. Brice’s experience spans roadway design, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems, and he is known for offering thoughtful, big-picture insight to ensure projects serve both client and community needs.
What Brice values most about his work is partnering with villages, cities, and counties to find funding for infrastructure projects that make their communities better places to live. Among his proudest professional achievements is helping deliver first-time water and sanitary sewer systems to communities in need.
Outside of engineering, Brice finds his greatest fulfillment in being a husband and father. He enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time outdoors with family and friends, and has a bucket-list goal of visiting every national park in the U.S.
Cody Homan is a civil designer, based in our Celina office, where he supports project teams both in the field and in the office. He works alongside the survey crew to complete topographic and property surveys and assists civil engineers with drafting roadway, waterline, and wetland plans.
A graduate of Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio, Cody holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a focus on mechanical design. He enjoys the balance of his role, particularly the opportunity to spend time on job sites and see projects take shape firsthand.
Outside of work, Cody values time with his wife and three children. He enjoys woodworking, spending time outdoors, and has a bucket-list goal of taking his family on a camping trip through the Rocky Mountains.
Craig Knapke is a project manager, based in our Celina office, with more than two decades of experience in civil engineering. He oversees the planning, design, and coordination of a wide range of projects, including water and wastewater systems, storm sewers, roadway improvements, park facilities, and related studies. Licensed as a professional engineer in Ohio, Craig brings both technical expertise and a strong background in project funding to help communities achieve their goals.

Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo and an MBA in management from Wright State University. Before becoming a project manager in 2003, he spent three years as a surveyor, giving him firsthand insight into the complexity and diversity of engineering projects.
Outside the office, Craig enjoys following his two daughters in their sports endeavors and spending time with friends and family. On his bucket list: traveling to Hawaii and Alaska.
Craig Mescher is a project manager, based in our Celina office, with expertise in project development and funding. With more than 30 years of administrative experience, Janice provides vital support to the firm through her work with project managers and construction teams. Based in our Celina office, she assists in preparing project manuals for bids, compiles construction documents once contractors are selected, and ensures accuracy and organization throughout the process. She is known for her attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Outside of work, Janice loves walking, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. She also treasures her lifelong friendships with five grade school friends—relationships she continues to celebrate with yearly trips and adventures.
Jay is a survey technician with an associate degree in civil engineering from Sinclair Community College. Based in our Celina office, he plays a key part in supporting project teams by collecting and verifying field data. His work provides the critical measurements and information that form the foundation for accurate project planning and execution. Jay enjoys the variety his role offers—whether it’s working in different locations, taking on new responsibilities, or ensuring each task is completed on time and with precision.

Meggan joined the Celina team in 2020 and serves as the firm’s funding specialist. She manages grant administration throughout the entire project lifecycle, including application submission, reporting, disbursement requests, prevailing wage rates, project closeout, and CDBG audits. She also holds an OCCD Community Development Certification.
What Meggan enjoys most about her work is helping communities access funding for the infrastructure they depend on every day. She finds it rewarding to know her role contributes to meaningful progress, improving daily life while supporting long-term community growth.
Outside of work, Meggan treasures time with her husband, their three children, and their dog. Together, they enjoy camping, gardening, faith-centered activities, and cheering on their local football team.
Nancy is a licensed professional engineer with over three decades of experience in project management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is a registered engineer in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
Based in our Celina office, she serves as a project manager, focusing primarily on school and site designs as well as Ohio Department of Transportation street projects. She is known for taking ownership of her work and delivering detailed, innovative designs that meet clients’ needs. Her expertise spans every phase of a project, from planning and design through construction, earning her a reputation for quality and reliability.
What Nancy enjoys most about her profession is the opportunity to continually learn something new with each project. Beyond engineering, she looks forward to visiting all 50 states, and in her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with family.
Troy is a civil engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is a licensed professional engineer. He is based in our Celina office and specializes in using Civil 3D software to design site developments, road reconstructions, subdivisions, and other projects.
What he enjoys most about his work is taking a project from the topographic survey through construction and seeing firsthand the positive impact these projects can have on a city or small village.
Outside of work, Troy is a huge LA Rams fan. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his wife and children.
Abby Manis is an interior designer with a Bachelor of Science in interior design from Indiana University Bloomington. She also earned minors in marketing from the Kelley School of Business and art history from the College of Arts and Sciences. Abby is a WELL Accredited Professional, bringing specialized knowledge of the relationship between the built environment and human health to her work. She is passionate about designing spaces that enhance health, comfort, and productivity, and she enjoys seeing the positive impact thoughtful design has on the people who use and experience a space every day.
Outside of work, Abby spends much of her time with family and friends. She enjoys lake trips with her family, golfing with her husband, and spending time outdoors hiking and running. A travel enthusiast, she hopes to visit as many national parks as possible. In 2023, she hiked the Utah Mighty Five with her grandmother to celebrate her grandmother’s 70th birthday.
Sam is a licensed architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He holds a Bachelor of Science in architecture with a minor in landscape architecture and a Master of Architecture with a certificate in digital fabrication, both from Ball State University.
Sam has focused on K-12 school design, developing a strong understanding of the nuances of educational facilities. He also has a technical interest in building science and how structures come together. Sam finds the progression of the design process especially rewarding, helping clients shape their goals into buildable solutions while creating spaces that enrich communities through quality educational design.

Taylor brings nearly a decade of accounting experience to Garmann Miller, with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Ball State University. Beyond the numbers, Taylor is passionate about community involvement and serves as treasurer on the board of New Choices. Andy is a licensed architect with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture, both from the University of Cincinnati. What Andy enjoys most about his work is the variety of challenges each project brings and the opportunity to help clients realize their vision.
Andy’s passion for architectural history has been a constant thread throughout his career. As a graduate assistant, he documented historic buildings in Cincinnati for National Register of Historic Places applications, and he has contributed to several historical renovation projects.
Outside the office, Andy and his wife are restoring their 110-year-old home in Clintonville, Ohio. He also enjoys exploring neighborhood nature trails and admiring the historic homes nearby. A fun fact: Andy once worked at a pizza shop in college, where he learned to toss dough—a tradition he keeps alive each summer using his parents’ backyard pizza oven.
Jarrett Lange is a civil engineer, based in our Celina office, specializing in street reconstruction, public utilities design, and cost estimating for roadway, waterline, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer projects. Tony Kies is a civil designer, based in our Celina office, with over 40 years of experience in the engineering field. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Edison State Community College.
Throughout his career, Tony has witnessed incredible changes in the industry, evolving from pencils, pens, erasers, calculators, and T-squares to today’s advanced design technology. He enjoys applying his extensive experience to deliver thoughtful, precise designs for every project he works on.

Keith is a survey crew chief based in our Celina office. He holds an associate degree in civil design from Rhodes State College. In his role, he sets schedules, provides survey estimates, and performs surveying services, including topographic and property surveys, construction staking, and elevation certificates.

Education planner Josh Wenning, PhD, is passionate about creating positive change for schools, educators, and students. He brings a strong background in educational leadership, curriculum design, and administration, holding multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in global leadership from Indiana Tech.
Josh is licensed as a superintendent in both Indiana and Michigan and also holds an Indiana teaching license in social studies for grades 6–12. Additionally, he is a Gallup-certified StrengthsFinder coach, enabling him to guide individuals and teams in leveraging their strengths to achieve lasting impact.
His professional journey has centered on K-12 education, where he thrives on supporting educators and shaping environments that foster student success. Josh believes the most rewarding part of his career is making a meaningful difference in the lives of teachers and, by extension, the students they serve.

A graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, Jim is a licensed architect in Ohio and several other states across the Midwest and Southeast. He also holds NCARB certification and is affiliated with AIA Cleveland.

Technology designer, Myles Fullenkamp, brings a blend of IT and 3D design experience to his role at Garmann Miller. He has built his technical skillset through hands-on work and self-directed learning, developing a strong understanding of how systems and tools function in both theory and practice. A natural generalist, he enjoys tackling complex ideas and breaking them down into clear, simple explanations for others.
Outside of work, Myles spends much of his time 3D modeling and 3D printing his own designs. He also has a deep interest in cognitive science, especially psychology, philosophy, and linguistics, which fuels his curiosity about how people think, communicate, and solve problems.
Mike Kessel has a comprehensive background as an architect and project manager, with a strong interest in education and public safety projects that create lasting value for communities and those who serve them. At the heart of his work is the process itself. Mike enjoys guiding clients from early conversations and concepts to fully realized spaces, whether through renovations, additions, or new construction. Seeing an idea transform from a vision into a built environment is what continues to motivate his work.
He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from Kent State University and is licensed to practice architecture in multiple states.
Outside the office, Mike spends his time hiking, biking, and exploring the National Parks with his wife and son, as well as coaching his son’s baseball teams. A musician at heart, he plays multiple instruments and enjoys recording original music. His bass guitar can be heard on three albums.
Craig Eisert is an electrical designer who brings hands-on experience to his role. As a former field technician, he has a practical understanding of electrical systems and an appreciation for how thoughtful coordination helps keep projects moving efficiently and effectively. Wyatt Ellis joined the team after graduating from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He brings experience working across a variety of project types and enjoys understanding how buildings come together, each with its own construction approach and impact on the communities they serve. Wyatt is especially drawn to the collaborative nature of architecture and the problem-solving required to coordinate ideas, systems, and details into a cohesive design. He is working toward becoming a licensed architect as he continues to grow in his professional career.
Outside of work, Wyatt has a strong interest in the automotive world, from street performance to off-road exploration. He also enjoys traveling with his family, experiencing new cultures, and discovering diverse built environments around the world.
Amy brings a strong administrative background and a passion for supporting those around her. With a degree in sociology from Wright State University Lake Campus, she enjoys understanding how people and organizations work together and being a reliable resource who helps keep daily operations running smoothly.
Outside of work, Amy stays busy with her family. As the proud parent of three children who were active in sports, she spent many hours cheering on the St. Marys Roughriders and supporting her kids at school and club sporting events. Chris is a technology designer based in our Minster, Ohio office, bringing a strong background in low-voltage systems and security solutions. His career includes 15 years with a contractor supporting a range of technology systems, followed by 12 years in a manufacturing environment focused on security, access control, fire alarm, intercom, and camera systems.
He enjoys the problem-solving aspect of his work and takes pride in understanding how systems function together to deliver reliable, effective solutions.

He is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and a licensed Michigan Residential Builder. He focuses on Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital project delivery, and workflow automation, helping teams improve collaboration and efficiency as an ACC/BIM software specialist.

Adam Siegel earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University and has obtained his Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification. He specializes in roadway reconstruction and public utility design, bringing a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to infrastructure projects that support growing communities.
Adam enjoys seeing the impact of his work firsthand, especially as communities evolve through new development. Outside of the office, he spends his time playing slow-pitch softball and attending country music concerts.
