SCOPE
Renovation & New Construction
Garmann Miller partnered with Fairfield Community Schools, located in Goshen, Indiana, after the FCS Board of Education and administration identified the need for long-term facilities upgrades to support the district’s growth and evolving community needs. Our planning services helped define the scope and budget for future projects. Through facility assessments and master planning sessions with school and community stakeholders, we laid the foundation for progress. GM also led task force and community meetings to establish district priorities and refine the project scope.

Following thorough discussions, Fairfield Community Schools approved a $30 million project after going through the 1028 process. The facilities improvements include renovations for four existing school buildings: Benton Elementary, Fairfield Jr./Sr. High, Millersburg Elementary/Middle, and New Paris Elementary.
These renovations entail upgrading mechanical and electrical systems, enhancing safety and security, and refreshing interior finishes.
The existing auditorium received lighting, sound, and finish improvements.

Additionally, the project includes the construction of a new multi-use activity building, called the Falcon Fieldhouse, on their high school campus. The two-story structure features three volleyball and basketball courts along with multi-use spaces for events and after-school programs. The new facility includes approximately 640 bleacher seats, three sprint lanes, a batting cage, a golf simulator, a mezzanine, and a spacious lobby. The large-group restrooms and concessions also support the adjacent football stadium and track & field facility just to the east of the new facility.
