SCOPE
Renovation
Minster Local Schools completed a phased renovation to its existing junior/senior high school facility. The main entrance to the building was updated and some outdoor student dining space was added. The existing media center was converted into the new administration area with a secure entrance. The media center was then relocated to the existing administration area. Technology was upgraded as well as the electrical and HVAC systems. The gym floor was redone, and the entire gym was painted and a new scoreboard was installed.

The outdoor classroom was element in Minster Local Schools overall master plan, and its purpose is to honor the late Mrs. Piening. Mrs. Piening, a long-time kindergarten teacher, always envisioned a natural outdoor space for students to learn and play. The school district decided this project was a nice way to commemorate her life, and they wanted to make the space as natural as possible.
The kitchen was renovated with new flooring and equipment. New paint was added throughout the building to freshen up an outdated color scheme, and new lockers were installed. Walls were moved to create an extending learning area in the corridor. Updated mobile furniture, flooring, carpet and casework has been installed. Parking lot repairs and new pavement complete the upgrades.
