Renovations
Garmann Miller renovated and designed an addition for the Family YMCA in Wapakoneta. The YMCA partnered with local business to help provide services to the community inside the facility. Space was included for Mercy Health to provide their primary care, physical therapy and radiology services. A partnership with Headstart included providing two classroom facilities for early education and NourishU for refreshments in the extended lobby. The project also included adding on to the existing fitness center, creating a new lobby with a climbing wall and adding a hot tub to the pool area.
“This project started and continues to be about how successful collaborations can work, both with Mercy Health, Council on Rural Services, two local restaurants and the United Way of Auglaize County,” said Joshua Little, Wapakoneta Family YMCA CEO. “It’s really about how do we serve the community more effectively, and we’re really excited to show how that can be done with collaboration.”
