“I appreciate the work-life balance we have at Garmann Miller and continue to enjoy our success. We are growing strategically, and I couldn’t be prouder of the company I get to call home.”
This employee feedback on the 2023 Zweig Group Best Firms to Work For survey exemplifies Garmann Miller’s commitment to culture and investment in its people. This is nothing new for GM. Our founders, Brad Garmann and Bruce Miller, established an environment centered on their team members with opportunities to create, grow and lead.
This team-first philosophy continues today as Garmann Miller celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023. When CEO Eric Baltzell and COO Chris Monnin succeeded leadership from Brad and Bruce in 2017, one primary goal was to reach Best Firms to Work For status. Check that box on the to-do list.
For the fifth consecutive year, Garmann Miller is recognized as a Best Firms to Work For in the U.S. by Zweig Group, the nation’s leading research resource for architecture, engineering and planning firms. Evaluations focused on culture, workplace practices, employee benefits, retention rates, professional development and more from both management and staff perspectives. Awards were given in multiple categories based on firm size and discipline. GM placed No. 5 this year in the 50-99 employee category.
“Best Firms To Work For is more than an awards program, it’s a powerful and industry-specific benchmarking platform that provides a view of what the employee experience looks like in today’s top performing AEC firms,” said Zweig Group CEO Chad Clinehens. “Firms can use this ranking and the data it yields to develop strategies and initiatives to drive greater returns on the investment in their people.”
Winners will be honored at a black-tie gala during the 2023 Elevate AEC Conference, which takes place in the new Omni PGA Frisco Resort outside of Dallas, Texas, Sept. 13-15.
“We are very proud of the culture we’ve built and sustained by making our employee experience a priority,” Baltzell said. “We’ve created an environment where our people feel valued and can make a difference in both the workplace and through serving our clients.”
