More than 100 residents, students, staff, partners and elected officials came together Saturday, Dec. 7, to celebrate the opening of Arcanum-Butler Local Schools’ new multi-purpose building. The 20,000-square-foot facility houses agricultural education, athletic spaces and a community center.
“The fact that so many people stepped up financially to make this happen is a testament to the support of our students, the importance of agriculture and the love of athletics in our community,” Superintendent John Stephens said. “I’m extremely proud.”
The state-of-the-art facility was made possible thanks to financial contributions from donors such as Ralph and Phyllis Brumbaugh, Greenville National Bank and Jafe Decorating. The individuals and businesses are recognized with nameplates in the hallway of the new addition, which was designed Garmann/Miller Architects-Engineers.
