Creating partnerships within our local communities has always been important to us at GMAE. Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to submit a nomination to AMBE Alliance for its 20 Under 20 award. AMBE’s mission is to create a bridge between area businesses and schools to connect students to the career opportunities in Mercer and Auglaize counties.

This award to honor driven students under the age of 20 recently expanded to include Darke county students. Danielle Winner of Versailles, Ohio, was selected as a recipient of the AMBE award, and it was no surprise to us. Danielle, a University of Cincinnati student studying architectural engineering, worked in our electrical department as an intern during the summer of 2019.

“Her ability to listen, learn and then implement was impressive at such a young age,” observed Ben Miller, GMAE electrical engineer. “Danielle is a perfect recipient for this award, as she has displayed incredible drive and a passion for the field of architecture and engineering.”

Danielle returned this summer to assist our electrical team. “One thing I’ve learned from my internship that will help me in the future is how far hard work, perseverance and open mindedness will take someone in life. These qualities will open endless doors and allow ample opportunities for new experiences,” Danielle remarked. “I’m honored to receive this award and to have the opportunity to work at such a great firm.”

GMAE congratulates Danielle and the other area winners across the tri-county region on this recognition. Our team believes in the importance of internships in career development, and we hope we can continue this mentor program for students for years to come.
