The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities named Cindy Pottkotter and Jason Fleming of Garmann Miller recipients of its President’s Award during the organization’s 2023 Partnership Luncheon, Thursday, March 30 in Lima. Pottkotter, a designer, and Fleming, construction administrator, were recognized for providing excellent service with various project upgrades, additions and renovations over the past eight years.
“Cindy’s attention to detail is impeccable, and she’s not afraid to take on any challenge for what the customer wants or needs,” said ACBDD Superintendent Theresa Schnipke. “Jason always has a can-do approach. His advocacy and passion for the field of developmental disabilities is very much appreciated.”
Pottkotter has extensive knowledge of ACBDD planning, having worked on seven projects with the organization over the past eight years. She helped design a safe entry space for a school built in the early 1970s and has helped plan unused space for quality services. “She understands the limits of government funding and has helped each project be as efficient as possible,” Schnipke added.
As construction administrator, Fleming supports ACBDD on-site to keep projects on time, on scope and on budget. His hands-on involvement eases the impact on ACBDD by responding to requests for information, providing clarifications and observing the quality of construction. “Jason is creative and has given the board countless hours of his time and attention,” Schnipke said.
Pottkotter and Fleming joined the GM team in 2008. ACBDD and GM’s partnership began in 2011.
