Friday, April 12, was a special day at Garmann/Miller, as the full-service architectural and engineering firm welcomed State Representative Susan Manchester of Ohio’s 84th House District to its Minster location to deliver a proclamation. Manchester, who was joined by Logan O’Neill, executive director of the Southwestern Auglaize Chamber of Commerce, and Sara Topp, member services coordinator, recognized GMAE on behalf of the members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio on receiving the chamber’s 2019 Community & Business Pride Award.

Manchester spoke about the firm’s dedication to positively shaping area communities through its building designs and commitment to giving back to the people of which it serves. The first-term representative fielded questions from the team on local issues such as state education funding and water-quality issues of the region, specifically Grand Lake St. Marys, where the state is collaborating with local organizations to reduce nutrient pollution. K-12 education is one of GMAE’s key markets.

Following a visit with the team, Manchester enjoyed a tour of the facility with COO Chris Monnin, who shared the firm’s history and discussed current projects. Garmann/Miller is busy with interior renovations at Minster Local Schools, New Bremen Local Schools’ recently broke ground on its new elementary facility, and GMAE provided designs for Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum’s expansion.
